^{The Town of La Plata offers weekly summer concerts Fridays from 7 pm to 9 pm. Enjoy live music from a wide range of genres. ^{Charles County has two fantastic farmers markets located in La Plata and Waldorf. Both offer a wide selection of local vendors. The La Plata Farmers Market is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays, and the Waldorf Farmers Market is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays.}

^{Take a kayak tour of Mallows Bay, which is famous for its "Ghost Fleet" of over 100 sunken steamships. The tours include wildlife, history, and culture and are fully guided.
